Two Masters, One Decision
The Bible says, "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other." (Matthew 6:24)
This means we have to choose what's most important in our lives. There will come a time when we have to decide between two things, and that choice will reveal who or what is truly important to us. Our decision will show where our loyalty lies, what we love, and what we hate.

Why does the Bible use the words love and hate? Because in John 14:15, Jesus says, "If you love Me, keep my commands." Obeying God's commands is how we prove our love for Him and show that He is our God.
When we prioritize things or people over God, it's seen as disloyalty and hate. Every decision we make tells God who our real master is. Just saying we love God isn't enough; our actions prove it. That's why Jesus mentioned in Matthew 15:8, "These people honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me."
Here are 3 RANDOM everyday examples to show you how we ALL face these decisions everyday:
Free Time: Instead of doing Bible study or praying, we spend time scrolling through social media.
Weekend Off: Rather than spending the day with God, we run errands all day.
Money Decision: We have $10 and can either give it to a homeless person or buy fast food. We choose fast food.
I chose these random examples to show how OFTEN and EASY it is to choose other masters over God. The reason we can't serve two masters is that eventually, we have to decide what's more important to us.
Let's be intentional about showing God how much we love him by CHOOSING Him over money, entertainment, sin, emotions, opportunities, comfort, FREE WILL, and all other things that wants to make slaves of us.
Let God's people say Amen.
