The Bees Are Coming...

A couple of weeks ago while I was leaving the gym, I noticed there was a bee flying near my car. As I opened the car door and sat in the driver’s seat—I paused for a moment. For some reason, I didn’t turn the car on right away. Instead, my head slowly turned to the left and that is when I saw the bee again.

This time, it was on my car, perched just outside my window and would not move. It just sat there. Almost like it wanted me to know it was present. I put my finger near the window to see if that would scare it away, but this bee was immovable and steadfast.

Bees have like five eyes. So, I know this bee saw me trying to shush it away. Lol!

But in that moment, I started to wonder what this bee could mean- if in fact the Lord was speaking to me.

Just then, I thought of Deborah in the Bible. Her name means “Bee”.

A leader.

A warrior.

A judge.

A prophetess.

A wife.

A mother in Israel. (Judges 5:7)

A woman of great wisdom, courage, strength, and humility during a time of great oppression for the children of Israel.

Oh yes! Deborah was a trusted vessel the Lord used mightily to help deliver Israel.

Church, we are once again in a time of great natural and spiritual oppression. I believe in this season the Lord is calling a host of “Deborahs” to arise out of obscurity and onto the frontlines to advance the kingdom of God in the earth.

God is sending these "Deborahs/Bees" to deliver his people.

Their justice scales will operate in the perfect balance of humility and God-given authority.

They will be completely bowed and submitted to the Lordship of Christ, while being equally emboldened to speak the unadulterated word of the Lord in and out of season. (2 Timothy 4:2)

They will be courageous yet nurturing.

Strong, yet sensitive.

Bold, yet wise.

These chosen women of God understand the times in which they are living and the urgency to share the gospel with lost souls. They know Christ is soon to return.

And similar to the bee that refused to fly away from my car when I tried to scare it, these women are fearless and immovable. They believe in the power of their God to protect. (Daniel 6:23)

They will speak when God says speak. They will go where God says go. And they will do what God says to do with no hesitation. They know if God be for them—who can be against them? (Romans 8:31)

These women are coming forth as pure gold after having spent many seasons in the refiner’s fire. And they will neither smell like smoke, nor look like what they've been through. (Daniel 3:27)

They have been stripped of fear, pride, and the love of this world. They have set down their own personal agendas for life and proven themselves to be true soldiers in the army of the Lord.

It is a new season.

The bees are ready.

They are coming.

And to God be ALL the glory!

Ooh, I loved this comparison. Bees certainly live a life of accomplished purpose. Their harmonious efforts, indeed yield the sweetness (honey) of God's rewards and victory.
